Arizona Legal Services Paralegal Documents
A/K/A A.L.S. BY DAWN R. KAISER
BACKGROUND OF DAWN KAISER

Dawn Kaiser graduated from Western Illinois University in 1976 with a B.A. in History. She was employed as a legal secretary at a downtown Chicago firm, and then later at a Monticello, Illinois firm doing legal work in the areas of divorce, estate planning, probate, guardianships and conservatorships.

Dawn moved to Arizona in 1986 with her husband and two children and has been employed by Phoenix area law firms doing paralegal work in the areas of divorce, bankruptcy, wills and probates. She was actively involved in all aspects of the various cases retained by the firm, including interviewing of the clients, preparation and drafting of documentation, and discussions with opposing counsels, as well as Court personnel. Dawn was also very fortunate to be able to attend numerous seminars during this time to keep abreast of the many changes in Court procedures and case law. After several years of working for attorneys, she decided to open her own business in order to help individuals directly.

In May, 1998, she started her business, Arizona Legal Services (also known as A.L.S. by Dawn R. Kaiser), providing low-cost fees and payment plans to her clients. She has been doing document preparation work for individuals since that time, as well as continuing with contract work for various local attorneys. Dawn concentrates her document preparation work in the area of family law, i.e. divorces, child support and visitation matters, paternity, Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy work, probates, guardianships, conservatorships, wills and powers of attorney, as well as some civil matters.

In December, 2002, Dawn successfully completed a two day test given by the National Association of Legal Assistants to earn the degree of "Certified Legal Assistant" . In July, 2003, Dawn also received the designation of "Certified Legal Document Preparer" from the Board of Legal Document Preparers, pursuant to the Rules of the Supreme Court of the State of Arizona, under Certificate No. 80054.
